salam.. hi all.. marhaban.. it's been a while.. last time i wrote in this wall if i recall, it was last two weeks.. probably that hectic week filled with a bunch of pressuring brainiac of endless-final exams had limited my fingers to write some kind of mind-refreshing readings with my imperfect english.:) i gotta admit that i am not good in english since my first language is not english itself and my environment, especially in my home, is not really helping me to speak english more often. But I think, one of the ways for me to improve my english is by writing in this blog. hopefully, those readers who are following and reading my blogs could help me too by giving some comments and advices. jazakAllah..
anyway.. enough for the introduction.. i took me more than 24 hours just to write the introduction :)
so, as what is written on the post title; journey in the west. it's about journey. or in arabic they call it " سفر ". it;s not Journey to The West. my journey to the west was two years ago and I have been living in a west country or more specific, United States of America for almost 2 years now.
Generally, living in a foreign country like USA is not too bad. eventhough sometimes i feel like i,m gonna fall sick because of homesick, i still feel that i am lucky to have the opportunity to put my footmarks on this foreign land. alhamdulillah. and even america is not a muslim country and the majority of its inhabitants are kristians, jews and some atheists, i dont think it could limit or stop us from practicing Islam, not at all. subhanALLah, in this two years, Allah has given me many oppurtunities for me to visit his houses (مساجد) in different part of america. i was really impressed that they are so many masajid have been built from time to time. some of them also became masjid after they were converted from church.outsiders who never heard or experienced living in United States probably would not believe that there are such many masajid in america.
Alahmdulillah, i could see those masajid with my own eyes. this is due to the journeys that i have involved with some brothers. it's just amazing when you watch a beautiful house of Allah is built when all non-believers surrounds it.. and when the time of solah comes, many muslims come out from nowhere and start saying the solah with an imam reciting beautiful surahs with beautiful voices.. and you would feel like you are living in a muslim country. subhanAllah.. this is indeed the signs from greatness of Allah, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, The Guide and The Most Forgiving!
For a student like me, it is not good to leave my study behind. that is one of my top priorities and i believe everyone understand that. but on top of that, i should keep encouraging myself that i have to prioritize thing that will surely lead to the ultimate salvation in the Day of Judgement., the Day when all the humankind will stand in front of The Creator. it is not something that i could postpone for my old days, which i can't confirmed myself that i would reach those days or not because life is so short and we could be taken by Him anytime..let's ponder over it.. because we gotta do what we have to do.. otherwise.. it will end up with endless regrets..نعوذ بالله ( may Allah protect us from it ).. So.. let's do amaal as much as possible and keep ourselves with good companies and in good environments; best environment to protect our emaan is always the houses of Allah.. lets populate the masjid..
قال تعالى : إنما يعمر مساجد الله ممن امن بالله واليوم الأخر (الأية
" only those who believe in Allah and The Last Day populate the house of Allah.."
اللهم اجعلنا منهم. امين
" Allah. There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory). " (Al-Baqarah : 255)
