Burqa and Hijab; isn't it beautiful?

salam wa marhaban for everyone. i just came across this new issue that are being highly debated everywhere. Burqa or Hijab ( Purdah in malay ) is banned in France. a woman in France will get arrested if they wear it in public. Is it a logic decision? stopping a person from wearing and practicing his/her religious beliefs? To be honest, I dont care wether it's political or racism desicion, i myself simply can't accept it because that Burqa/Hijab?purdah has long become a muslimahs custom and most of them choose to wear it and i think none cant stop or force a person to dress the way he/she wants. i dont understand what the reasons behind the issue. they want to say about women's right? could it be possible that the women is islam who wear Hijab are forced to do so? is it a sign of slavery or oppression to the muslim women who are themselevs willing to put on that beautiful dress on their own bodies? i believe most of people in The World including the non-muslims would answer in negative way.

What successful women have to say about Hijab (Islamic dress for women)?
1.  It is amazing the way things changed overnight when I started on with Hijab. I can feel the extra respect coming my way. People take me more seriously; friends at college think it looks very neat and smart, and I feel protected and confident when I step out. Dr. Mrs. N.Z.Vakil (Medical Student)
2.  The most important thing about Hijab is that it gives you an identity of a Muslim. Moreover, it is another way of obedience to Allah's (SWT) command. People often gives me due respect which I would have not got without a Hijab. Traveling among men has become easy for me as it makes me feel safe and protected. It also gives me a lot of confidence and last but not the least this has brought me one step closer to Allah (SWT). Therefore, I consider Hijab as a blessing from Allah (SWT) and I thank him for His blessing. Reshma Qazi (Arts Student)
3.  The Angel of Death, Azrael (Ezra'il) said: "Obedience to Allah's (SWT) Commandments is better than compassion to the earth". Initially I felt I would be looked down upon in society, but after wearing Hijab, I realized that people do not give you as much importance as you feel they should. The nearness, which I felt to Allah (SWT) by obeying His commandment, is beyond expression. Moreover wearing Hijab has created an aura of respectability in my environment and has enabled me to remember Allah (SWT) more often. Mrs. S.A. Vakil (House Wife)
4.  I feel that at present when demoralization is increasing in the society, every woman should wear Hijab, It is the only thing which protects a woman and makes her feel secured. Shenaz. F. Raj (College Student)

but what worst is that, subhanallah there are some so called muslims are being supporters for this banning. i am not sure where is the basis and how much they learn, understand and practice Islam but it is not acceptable if a muslim talk in a way that other muslims should not do something that itself has a strong basis, if not in Quran there must be strong support from ahadith (sayings of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.). more reading click here

The Qur'an advises the wives of the Prophet (SAS) to go veiled (33: 59).

In Surah 24: 31(Ayah), the Qur'an advises women to cover their "adornments" from strangers outside the family.

The Qur'anic view of the ideal society is that the social and moral values have to be upheld by both Muslim men and women and there is justice for all, i.e. between man and man and between man and woman. The Qur'anic legislation regarding women is to protect them from inequities and vicious practices (such as female infanticide, unlimited polygamy or concubinage, etc.) which prevailed in the pre-Islamic Arabia. However the main purpose is to establish to equality of man and woman in the sight of God who created them both in like manner, from like substance, and gave to both the equal right to develop their own potentialities. To become a free, rational person is then the goal set for all human beings. Thus the Qur'an liberated the women from the indignity of being sex-objects into persons. In turn the Qur'an asks the women that they should behave with dignity and decorum befitting a secure, Self-respecting and self-aware human being rather than an insecure female who felt that her survival depends on her ability to attract or cajole those men who were interested not in her personality but only in her sexuality.

One of the verses in the Qur'an protects a woman's fundamental rights. Aya 59 from Sura al-Ahzab reads:

O Prophet! Tell Thy wives And daughters, and the Believing women, that They should cast their Outer garments over Their Persons (when outside): That they should be known (As such) and not Molested.
Alhamdulillah, my mom, she also falls in a category of muslimahs wearing Burqa/Purdah.. i wish all the muslimahs in this world wearing the same dress and i hope my wife-to-be (insyaAllah) would wear it too, as my perspective tells that it looks beautiful and it also shows the sign of Taqwa (God's fearing).. may Allah make us better muslims and guide us to the straight path till the end.. ameen.. wallhua'lam

it's on us

we are the servants of Almighty Allah.. when we obey noone but Him, we'll be rewarded with Jannah insyaAllah.. otherwise, He will send reminders.. look what happened to Qoum bani Lut.. Allah S.W.T. has created humankind as a best creation  and Allah has given a'qal (mind) to us to think and ponder.. Allah also has created animals, plants, angels and etc to serve the insaan, but we tend to forget.. forget and keep forgetting .. drowned with worldy and desire's temptations. nauzubillah.. look what happened to Japan.. if He wants to destroy us due to our misleadings and bad deeds done on the face of this Earth,  it will take just a blink of an eye.. life in this world is nothing but a test.. Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. once said that everyone of us is a sinner and the best among us is who turns into repentance.. allahummahdina wahdina sajamia.. it's on us.. it's on us who wants to seek for the guidance from The Guide, Allah Azzawajalla..
